The #1 reason to join the PTA is to benefit your student! Our mission is to foster communication and cooperation between parents, faculty and community to ensure that your Dealey student develops to their full potential emotionally, socially, and intellectually.   • Tap the Network: Parenting is not easy. It helps to share ideas, concerns, and experiences with others. PTA events are opportunities to meet others, build rapport, and discuss issues.

Membership FAQ:

  • If you join the PTA, volunteering is encouraged but never required. If your schedule does not allow you to volunteer right now, you can still join the Dealey PTA.
  • Being a member of the Dealey PTA does not obligate you to attend meetings. We have 4 General Membership meetings per year where we provide updates, vote on programs, budgeting and how to best fulfill our mission.
  • Memberships are annual. You must purchase a new membership every year to keep your membership current. Your PTA membership and its perks will be good for the entire school year.
  • Membership does not require a time commitment. Your level of engagement and involvement are completely up to you.  
  • The Dealey PTA is not only for parents and teachers. Any one who wants to support our students including parents, teachers, school staff, district staff, grandparents, extended family members, business leaders, and neighbors can and are encouraged to become members. We are all stakeholders in the future of our Dealey Dragons!
  • If you joined a PTA at another school, you will need to join the Dealey PTA separately. Each school has an independent PTA that provides support and funding for its students and families. We appreciate your support!
